Insa, surprinzator, personajul Annei nu-mi place aproape deloc: nu pot intelege multe dintre deciziile ei, spre deosebire de sotul ei, Karenin, interpretat superb de Jude Law. Varianta regizata de Joe Wright este putin ciudatica, la fel ca si distributia: Keira Knightley (The Duchess, Piratii din Caraibe, Pride and Prejudice si Love Actually), Matthew Macfadyen (Cei trei muschetari si Pride and Prejudice), Jude Law (Sherlock Holmes si The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus), Holliday Grainger (The Borgias, Bel Ami si Jane Eyre) si Cara Delevingne (da, modelul Victoria Secret si Marc Jacobs!).
As I can see, 2005 was a year with a lot of great movies. Last weekend I watched „Pride and Prejudice” with Keira Knightley for the second time. I confess I like the BBC mini series best, but the movie is also good. Here’s another imdb review:
While I will say first off, that no movie production ever made will ever equal a novel, especially one of this magnitude, this movie is very well done. I read many reviews going either way, but I must say I enjoyed the film very much. Many are quick to criticize Mac’s performance saying he didn’t do a good job. I thought he was fine, but believe me he is no Colin. Keira Knightley was absolutely incredible in the film, I would go as far to say it is her breakout performance. Donald Sutherland was amazing, but as can be expected from him. Judi, like always is incredible at her role as Lady Catherine.
If you are a complete avid fan of the book as I am, you may or may not like it. My only complaint was that it was in fact short, but then again it is quite hard to make a 370+ page novel into a two hour movie easily. There is a phenomenal display of acting by the entire cast, and the score is perfect.
One warning though, the movie concentrates on the love story more than Austen’s satire of society, so many Austen fans may be angry with that. But overall I thought it was a great film.
Hello, dears! How are you doing? I’m home, still in pyjamas, listening to Paramore – The only exception and trying not to be angry on my f#$%ing Internet connection which is very low. That’s why I blog rarely now.
I cut my hair on Friday and my hairdresser gave me these two hair products. I didn’t use them yet, but as soon as I do, I’ll tell you if they’re good. How do you like my new hair-cut? BTW, the shirt is Bershka, if you want to know. I bought it last summer because I liked the lace on the shoulders.
On Friday I had my semestrial test paper at Physics and surprise! I hope I’ll get a 10! I also had my first oral German exam and I got 15/15 points! Yay! On Tuesday I’ll have the written one so wish me luck. Next week I’ll also have my semestrial test papers at Romanian and Maths, which sucks a lot :( But I’m looking forward to finish them and then I’ll be free. Finally free (with three projects to do)!
Yesterday noon, after my debate classes, I watched The Vampire Diaries season finale which was great! Of course Damon is saved and I’m very glad Stefan sacrificed himself for his oldest brother. That was very impressive and nice of him. „Elena kissed Damon” was all over Twitter and YouTube, haha and the scene was so sweet, I swear! But some persons think she kissed him because she thought he’s dying; that’s pity and not love. But I’m sure Elena loves Damon a lot. Maybe as much as she loves Stefan, or more. After this kiss, if she returns to Stefan, all my good opinion about her will change into a bad one. But she can’t return to Stefan if he’s gone with Klaus and he became a villain and a ripper. Ok, enough of TVD. But one thing to be clear: the last episode didn’t suck at all and I can’t wait for season 3 in September.
Yesterday evening I watched with mum on Cinemax 2 „Pride and Prejudice” (2005) with Keira Knightley and after this Eurovision on TVR 1. But for these, I’ll write different posts.
Yesterday night I saw this wonderful movie called „Love Actually”, which is a romance and a comedy. Of course, at the end, I cried, but that’s me: very emotional. Alan Rickman, Colin Firth, Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Keira Knightley and Rowan Atkinson in the same movie made it excellent! I laughed, cried and felt happy while watching this movie. With you want to cheer up, watch this film. I can’t tell you the story, because in this movie there are lots of people: the prime-minister falls in love with his assistance and she falls in love with her boss too; Colin’s character (I can’t remember names in general :() falls in love with his Portuguese house-keeper and they marry; Liam Neeson’s character’s wife dies, but he manages to get over it and be a good father for his step son, who’s in love with an American eleven year old girl. He also meets another woman; an old rock star takes the first place in tops and he realizes that the closest person to him is his manager and a lot of another beautiful love stories. Everything it is about love. I hardly recommend „Love Actually”!
