The Raven

When I saw the trailer of this movie I said to myself instantaneous that I HAVE to watch it. This was in March this year, but I didn’t manage to see it in the theater because of a busy period then. So I downloaded it and watched it last week with my mum. Was really good: a drama/mystery/thriller with John Cusack and Luke Evans ( The Three Musketeers).

storyline via imdb: This movie is set in the mid 1800s and involves Edgar Allan Poe, the poet. A serial killer is on the loose and murdering people using Poe’s descriptions from his published poems. So Poe teams up with Detective Fields, a Baltimore policeman to try and catch the killer by using his knowledge of the descriptions. Even though the poems are fictional, they start to become reality and the killer is a step ahead of them. Then it takes on a personal note as Poe’s lover becomes a target. Will they stop the killer in time?

Hello, peeps! How are you all doing? First of all, I want to say happy international women’s day to every single woman and girl on this planet! My day was pretty nice: school until 12, lunch with three friends, Sex and the city and now here I am: writing on my fabulous blog for my fabulous readers. Second, I want to apologize that all my lately posts were about movies or fashion and nothing was written about me. Well, I had a tough time and didn’t feel like sharing a thing. Fortunately, now I’m fine. Soon, after reading a few pages from „Gone with the wind”, I have to do some maths homework :( but there are only three exercises this time, so… yeah. In one of the pictures above you can see that I started „Coco Chanel”, but I had to drop it for Margaret Mitchell’s book, which is huge and I have for school.

Last weekend I had my German Olympiad. Unfortunately, I was the second one with 54/60 so I lost my change for the national stage. Hopefully, next year I’ll be able to represent Iasi. Well, that’s pretty much all I had to say. I’m off now.

Bel Ami soon

Seems like 2012 is going to bring us some great movies. On March, the 2nd, Bel Ami with Robert Pattinson, Uma Thurman and Kristin Scott Thomas will have the premiere in the USA. To be honest, I’m really looking forward. Back in 2009, when I had a great crush on Robert Pattinson, I read the book by Guy de Maupassant and I liked it, though the ending is a bit unfair, in my opinion. But I don’t want to destroy the surprise if the film has the same fin. The trailer makes me think it’s going to be a good drama like Remember Me or Water For Elephants. And who knows, maybe Cosmopolis as well…
