The Vow

Rachel McAdams (Mean Girls, The Notebook, Sherlock Holmes and Midnight in Paris) and Channing Tatum (Public Enemies and Magic Mike) are on my list of favorite actors. This Friday I was tired of the same series, so I decided to watch a movie instead. I have dozens of movies in my computer, but I finally picked this romantic drama and I don’t regret it. A must see for lachrymatory lovers.

storyline via imdb: Leo and Paige are a couple who just got married. After an accident, Paige is left unconscious, and when she awakes she doesn’t remember Leo. Her parents, whom she hasn’t seen since she and Leo got together, come and visit her. She can’t believe that she hasn’t seen them for such a long time. Leo wants to bring her home with him but her parents want her to go with them. She goes with Leo but when she doesn’t recognize anything, she goes to her parents. And she wonders why did she cut off contact with her family. She also runs into her ex and wonders why they broke up. Leo tries to win her back by courting her again.

P.S.: I’m sorry for not posting this week: I was involved in the second part of the interchange with Italy, so I had no time to breath. Atm I’m waiting to receive all the pictures, because there are lots! Oh, and yeah, I have to recover a week of school, do my homework and stuff and the best part of all this is that I’m sick as fuck. But I’m still excited about the El Clasico tonight! Yey!

Magic Mike

Yesterday I went with the girls to the cinema to watch this drama with Channing Tatum (Public Enemies), Matthew McConaughey (Ghosts of Girlfriends Past), Alex Pettyfer and Joe Manganiello (What to expect when you’re expecting and True Blood). The movie’s about some strippers… I don’t really see the exact point of the film, to be honest and it was a little bit boring and predictable, but, hey! it was so worth the money: the guys were so damn hot! If you’re a dude, it’s better not to watch this. Just saying…

Mike, an experienced stripper, takes a younger performer called The Kid under his wing and schools him in the arts of partying, picking up women, and making easy money.

The Dark Knight Rises

WARNING: This article is very long and contains spoilers!

Finally!!!! After four years of waiting for this sequel, I’ve finally seen it eight days ago. And it was worth the waiting. Like I said in the post where I presented my Spiderman review, I love superheroes, but Chris Nolan’s Batman movies aren’t just cheap films with fights. They are psychological and deep. Have you seen other movies directed by Christopher Nolan, like The Prestige or Inception? If the answer is yes, you’ve got to know what I’m talking about here. Four years ago, I simply loved the Joker. And no, I had no idea about Heath Ledger, the fact that he was dead or stuff. He was brilliant; I realized it even if I was 12 years old. And I cried when I found out that he was just 28 when he died. I’ve made an obsession for him and The Dark Knight became my favorite movie ever (that’s why I’ve seen it more than 25 times haha).

2008 was also the year when I discovered my thing for cinematography and because of my passional way of being, I’ve had several small crushes on different actors, like Tom Hardy (Rocknrolla, Inception, This means war), when I saw him in 2009 in Wuthering Heights – television movie. Back then he was no famous actor, but now his time has come and he deserves it because he is extraordinary talented. In the end of The Dark Knight, the Joker doesn’t die: he’s just caught by the SWAT teams; so I guessed Christopher Nolan wanted to make a sequel also with Joker. But six months before the premiere, Heath Ledger was found dead in his apartment in New York City. So Chris had to choose another villain: Bane. And who else to play Bane, but Tom Hardy?! He did a great job out of his part and I think everybody loved it. Christian Bale (The Prestige, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and Public Enemies) was as usual the perfect Batman and Bruce Wayne (sorry George Clooney and Val Kilmer). I had to admit that at first, I wasn’t very thrilled about Anne Hathaway (Brokeback Mountain, The Devil Wears Prada, Becoming Jane and Valentine’s Day) playing Selina Kyle, but even I, as a girl, have to face the truth: she was a very sexy and charming Catwoman. I was very looking forward to seeing Marion Cotillard (Public Enemies, Nine, Inception and Midnight in Paris), but in the end I was very disappointed to learn that she was the brain behind the evil plan and not Bane. However, Joseph Gordon-Levitt (10 Things I Hate About You, 500 Days of Summer and Inception) didn’t let me down. I burst into tears when a woman called him Robin in the end of the film. The rest of the cast was pretty great: Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Michael Cane, Daniel Sunjata, Liam Neeson and Cillian Murphy.

Well… a masterpiece indeed :) I’ve seen in twice, once in IMAX and I’d do it again! Hope this was helpful and enjoyable and thank you for reading!

storyline via imdb: Despite his tarnished reputation after the events of The Dark Knight, in which he took the rap for Dent’s crimes, Batman feels compelled to intervene to assist the city and its police force which is struggling to cope with Bane’s plans to destroy the city.

OMFG, OMFG!

Oh my God, I’m freaking out here! Finally the trailer for The Dark Knight Rises is available! I just can’t believe I have to wait seven months to watch the movie, but be sure I’ll be the first one. Nobody on Earth is more addicted to this story as I am. Of course, the absence of Heath Ledger is very regretted, but Bale (The Prestige and Public Enemies), Hardy (Wuthering Heights and Inception), Levitt (500 days of summer, Inception and 10 things I hate about you), Oldman (Harry Potter), Caine (Jack the ripper), Hathaway (Love and other drugs, Alice in wonderland, Valentine’s day, The devil wears prada and Brokeback Mountain), Cotillard (Midnight in Paris, Inception, Nine and Public Enemies) and Freeman (Wanted)… Fuck yea!!!
