LOL

I’ve been wanting to post about this movie for a while now, because I saw it a week ago or something, but I was very busy. Now I’m watching Barcelona – Real Madrid, but it’s the break (0-0), so yeah. This romantic comedy with Miley Cyrus (The Last Song and Hannah Montana: The Movie), Ashley Greene (The Twilight Saga) and Demi Moore was very nice and inspiring – with happy ending. It’s about true love at a young age, friendship between a mother and her daughter and more.

storyline via imdb: In a world connected by YouTube, iTunes, and Facebook, Lola and her friends navigate the peer pressures of high school romance and friendship while dodging their sometimes overbearing and confused parents. When Lola’s mom, Anne, „accidentally” reads her teenage daughter’s racy journal, she realizes just how wide their communication gap has grown. Through hilarious and heartfelt moments between mother and daughter, LOL is a fresh coming-of-age story for modern times.

The Amazing Spider-Man

I’ve always loved superheroes. It’s a week since I’ve seen this amazing action/romantic movie in 3D at Cinema City and I have to admit that I really loved it! Andrew Garfield (The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and The Social Network) was a very cute and funny Spiderman; but I prefer Emma Stone (Crazy, Stupid, Love., Friends with Benefits, Easy A and Ghosts of Girlfriends Past) redhead. They make a very nice couple though. I laughed and cried at the same movie and this is very nice. I’m sure they are going to make a sequel for the film! Go watch it: it is indeed AMAZING! I hate spiders, but this one was cute :D

storyline via imdb: Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy, and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents’ disappearance – leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors, his father’s former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors’ alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

he’s cute also with glasses

I love his smile here

Hall Pass (2011)

When I was at the countryside, I watched three movies: Mean Girls 2, Hall Pass and The Graduate (about this last one I won’t write though because I didn’t like it). Hall Pass was a nice romantic comedy with Owen Wilson (Midnight in Paris, How do you know and Marley&Me). I laughed, though it was a little kinky here and there.

storyline via imdb: A couple of married guys are always looking at other women. Their wives are fed up with their behavior, and grant them a ‘hall pass’: a week off their marriage allowing them to do anything. But the guys take their time and their week is almost up. What they don’t realize is that at the same time their wives make connections of their own.

Mirror Mirror

After watching the drama „Snow White and the Huntsman”, I wanted to see the funny version called „Mirror Mirror” too. I didn’t regret it, because I didn’t get bored a second and this because of the cast: Julia Roberts (Valentine’s Day, Ocean’s Twelve, Ocean’s Eleven and Friends), Lily Collins (Abduction and 90210) and beautiful Armie Hammer (J. Edgar, The Social Network and Gossip Girl) who played the prince. I loved two scenes: the fight between Snow White and the prince and the one with the kiss (unusual because Snow White’s kiss healed the prince and not the opposite). I think everybody should watch this film, because it’s very nice!

storyline via imdb: After a beloved King vanishes, his ruthless wife seizes control of the kingdom and keeps her beautiful 18-year-old stepdaughter, Snow White, hidden away in the palace. But when the princess attracts the attention of a charming and wealthy visiting prince, the jealous Queen banishes the girl to a nearby forest. Taken in by a band of rebellious but kindhearted dwarfs, Snow White blossoms into a brave young woman determined to save her country from the Queen. With the support of her new friends, she roars into action to reclaim her birthright and win back her Prince in this magical adventure comedy that will capture the hearts and imaginations of audiences the world over.

North & South (2004)

I’ve always loved BBC films. Be it movies, miniseries or serials, they are always beautiful, deep and sensitive. Pride and Prejudice (1995) with Colin Firth was the first miniseries with the same title as a novel which I loved. I’ve watched it three times. Then I watched Robin Hood (2006) where I’ve „met” Richard Armitage. He played there the villain, sir Guy of Gisborne, but believe me: he can play magnificently a romantic man as well. You can check this by watching „North & South”, a story very similar to Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. It takes four hours, has an amazing soundtrack and makes you cry for sure. Margaret Hale moves with her family in Milton and meets John Thornton. Though she thinks very poor of him, Thornton falls in love with Margaret, because she’s different from the other women around him. When he proposes to her, she refuses him, as finally to realize that, despite all, she cares for him too.

storyline via imdb: This series operates on many levels. At the heart of the series is the tempestuous relationship between Margaret Hale, a young woman from a southern middle class family who finds herself uprooted to the north, and John Thornton, a formerly poverty-stricken cotton mill owner terrified of losing the viability of his business. Around them are class struggles between the workers and mill owners and ideological struggles between the industrial North and the agrarian South. After moving North, Margaret’s father befriends his student Mr. Thornton. Margaret has already formed her opinion of Mr. Thornton independently after seeing him treat his workers harshly. As the series progresses, she and we the audience begin to learn that his strict treatment is due to an overarching concern for his mill and by extension, his employees. John Thornton, on the other hand, is attracted to Margaret’s independence and position in society as a well-educated Southerner…
