The Raven

When I saw the trailer of this movie I said to myself instantaneous that I HAVE to watch it. This was in March this year, but I didn’t manage to see it in the theater because of a busy period then. So I downloaded it and watched it last week with my mum. Was really good: a drama/mystery/thriller with John Cusack and Luke Evans ( The Three Musketeers).

storyline via imdb: This movie is set in the mid 1800s and involves Edgar Allan Poe, the poet. A serial killer is on the loose and murdering people using Poe’s descriptions from his published poems. So Poe teams up with Detective Fields, a Baltimore policeman to try and catch the killer by using his knowledge of the descriptions. Even though the poems are fictional, they start to become reality and the killer is a step ahead of them. Then it takes on a personal note as Poe’s lover becomes a target. Will they stop the killer in time?

The Amazing Spider-Man

I’ve always loved superheroes. It’s a week since I’ve seen this amazing action/romantic movie in 3D at Cinema City and I have to admit that I really loved it! Andrew Garfield (The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and The Social Network) was a very cute and funny Spiderman; but I prefer Emma Stone (Crazy, Stupid, Love., Friends with Benefits, Easy A and Ghosts of Girlfriends Past) redhead. They make a very nice couple though. I laughed and cried at the same movie and this is very nice. I’m sure they are going to make a sequel for the film! Go watch it: it is indeed AMAZING! I hate spiders, but this one was cute :D

storyline via imdb: Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy, and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents’ disappearance – leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors, his father’s former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors’ alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

he’s cute also with glasses

I love his smile here

Hall Pass (2011)

When I was at the countryside, I watched three movies: Mean Girls 2, Hall Pass and The Graduate (about this last one I won’t write though because I didn’t like it). Hall Pass was a nice romantic comedy with Owen Wilson (Midnight in Paris, How do you know and Marley&Me). I laughed, though it was a little kinky here and there.

storyline via imdb: A couple of married guys are always looking at other women. Their wives are fed up with their behavior, and grant them a ‘hall pass’: a week off their marriage allowing them to do anything. But the guys take their time and their week is almost up. What they don’t realize is that at the same time their wives make connections of their own.

Ice Age: Continental Drift

Yesterday I went with one of my best friends to the cinema to watch the latest Ice Age movie, because it was her birthday. I liked the cartoon, it was very funny and in this episode we can hear for the first time Jennifer Lopez (The Back-up Plan and What to expect when you’re expecting) and Nicki Minaj. My favorite character is Scrat: he is absolutely hilarious! If you’re a fan of cartoons (in 3D), go watch this film!

storyline via imdb: Scrat’s nutty pursuit of the cursed acorn, which he’s been after since the dawn of time, has world-changing consequences – a continental cataclysm that triggers the greatest adventure of all for Manny, Diego and Sid. In the wake of these upheavals, Sid reunites with his cantankerous Granny, and the herd encounters a ragtag menagerie of seafaring pirates determined to stop them from returning home.

Counting the days

Good afternoon, readers! Usually, when I get excited, I post something here, so this will be another movie article. Can you guess? Well, some might. THE DARK KNIGHT RISES WILL BE IN CINEMAS VERY VERY SOON! ONLY 9 DAYS!!!! Unfortunately, July, 20th is the day I’m leaving on holidays, but about this later. But I’ll watch the movie as soon as I return! This is 100% sure! The last trailer of TDKR was showed yesterday at the ComicCon event and it contains some images of the Joker. How nice of them to include him again :) Are you going to see the epic ending?
