After watching the drama „Snow White and the Huntsman”, I wanted to see the funny version called „Mirror Mirror” too. I didn’t regret it, because I didn’t get bored a second and this because of the cast: Julia Roberts (Valentine’s Day, Ocean’s Twelve, Ocean’s Eleven and Friends), Lily Collins (Abduction and 90210) and beautiful Armie Hammer (J. Edgar, The Social Network and Gossip Girl) who played the prince. I loved two scenes: the fight between Snow White and the prince and the one with the kiss (unusual because Snow White’s kiss healed the prince and not the opposite). I think everybody should watch this film, because it’s very nice!
storyline via imdb: After a beloved King vanishes, his ruthless wife seizes control of the kingdom and keeps her beautiful 18-year-old stepdaughter, Snow White, hidden away in the palace. But when the princess attracts the attention of a charming and wealthy visiting prince, the jealous Queen banishes the girl to a nearby forest. Taken in by a band of rebellious but kindhearted dwarfs, Snow White blossoms into a brave young woman determined to save her country from the Queen. With the support of her new friends, she roars into action to reclaim her birthright and win back her Prince in this magical adventure comedy that will capture the hearts and imaginations of audiences the world over.
Just a quick hello and a video with one of the most charming men alive! The Italian guy Kim Rossi Stuart as Julien Sorel from Le Rouge et le Noir. Thanks to my classmates I discovered him. I wanted to make a bigger post today, but I was away all day long. So let’s hope tomorrow will be lucky!
After lots of posts with Oscar movies, it’s time for me to write about something more… fun for some of you. A few days ago I went to the cinema with Smaranda and we watched the last American Pie film. I have to admit, I think I laughed more at the first episodes, but this one was pretty good too.
storyline via imdb: Over a decade has passed and the gang return to East Great Falls, Michigan, for the weekend. They will discover how their lives have developed as they gather for their high school reunion. How has life treated Michelle, Jim, Heather, Oz, Kevin, Vicky, Finch, Stifler, and Stifler’s mom? In the summer of 1999, it was four boys on a quest to lose their virginity. Now Kara is a cute high school senior looking for the perfect guy to lose her virginity to.
P.S.: I updated my Blogroll. Take a look!
P.S. 2: I’m off to do a Biology project and then… True Blood season two.
One week ago I had to write an essay about Rhett Butler, the male hero from Gone with the wind by Margaret Mitchell. The book is huge so I didn’t have time to read it all, so I decided to download the movie and watch it. With 8 won Oscars and other 5 nominations, Gone with the wind is know as the best film ever made. I agree with that, because I really enjoyed watching it, the love story, the costumes and the music; I laughed and cried and of course I felt in love with charming, funny and smart Rhett Butler. I’ve found myself a little bit in Scarlett and I was amazed by Vivien Leigh’s beauty. If you respect yourself, then watch this masterpiece!
storyline via imdb: Scarlett is a woman who can deal with a nation at war, Atlanta burning, the Union Army carrying off everything from her beloved Tara, the carpetbaggers who arrive after the war. Scarlett is beautiful. She has vitality. But Ashley, the man she has wanted for so long, is going to marry his placid cousin, Melanie. Mammy warns Scarlett to behave herself at the party at Twelve Oaks. There is a new man there that day, the day the Civil War begins. Rhett Butler. Scarlett does not know he is in the room when she pleads with Ashley to choose her instead of Melanie.
Last week on Monday I had no power, so I wasn’t able to watch my online TV series. That’s why I decided to see a movie that I had on my laptop. I chose a drama, Blue Valentine with Heath Ledger’s ex-wife, Michelle Williams, and gorgeous Ryan Gosling. I liked the idea of the film (it was nominated for Oscar), the love story, but I didn’t like the ending. Again.
storyline via imdb: Dean Pereira and Cindy Heller Pereira are a young, working class married couple – Dean currently working as a painter, and Cindy working as a nurse in a medical clinic – with a young daughter named Frankie. Despite their relatively tender ages, they are both ravaged by the life they’ve eked out together and by the experiences they’ve had leading into their marriage. Dean, a high school drop out, comes from a broken home, where he never really had a mother figure. He never saw himself getting married or having a family despite falling in love at first sight with Cindy. He doesn’t have any professional ambition beyond his current work – which he enjoys since he feels he can knock off a beer at 8 o’clock in the morning without it affecting his work – although Cindy believes he has so much more potential in life. Cindy also comes from a dysfunctional family, with her own mother and father not setting an example of a harmonious married or family life…
